Would be interested in hearing what you guys and Aaron see as the main differences between the US and UK drift cultures and whether the UK is following in the wake of the US scene or whether it’s carving its own direction? Comparing both to Japan would be cool too. Cheers!

Introducing RCDrift.io 2026 Brought to you in partnership with Meguiar’s
After a landmark 2025 season, we’re excited up for an even bigger year ahead.
For 2026, we’ll be hosting two major tournaments - each built for international participation, powered by our enhanced global driver rating system.
The Spring Major will be held at Model World Live at the NEC in Birmingham on April 25–26, followed by the Autumn Major at the new Meguiar’s HQ in Daventry on October 24–25.
Both Major tournaments will be seeded using driver’s highest regional rating, and for 2026 we’re thrilled to expand the series to a global audience - reflecting the growing international community behind RCDrift.io
To ensure fair and accurate rankings, we’ve refreshed our rating system with an updated algorithm and reduced the inactivity penalty to 6 months, helping returning drivers stay competitive.
We’re also rolling out a global 2026 calendar of rated tournaments - an integrated, year-round schedule that unifies competitive RC drifting worldwide. Wherever drivers compete, they’ll have consistent, meaningful opportunities to earn points and climb the rankings.
We can’t wait to see you there 👊

Dear Main Event competitors, please read carefully:
During Saturday’s inspection, you will receive:
👉 Do not throw away the packaging — keep it safe. At the end of Saturday, you must return your tyres to us in their original packaging for safe keeping. They’ll be given back to you during Sunday’s inspection.
These tyres will be marked, and must be used for all competition runs.
If you’re driving on track, you must have the RCDIO sunstrip clearly visible at the top of your windscreen — you’ll only receive one, so take care of it.
For Saturday, you may run multiple chassis, but:
For Sunday, only one chassis will be permitted.
When it’s your turn to run, you must hand your car to the inspection crew — they will place it on the track for you. If you’d like your car returned, drive to the designated area on the track and the inspection crew will hand it back to you.
Please listen carefully and pay attention to all tournament announcements so you know when it’s your turn to drive. We’re running on a strict schedule, and missing your run will result in elimination — no exceptions.
Please keep your pit space tidy and stay alert for anyone not respecting the venue or others. Do not drive anywhere except on the track — the sports hall floor is off limits.
Lastly, if you’re smoking or vaping, please go well away from the building. It’s a school, so let’s be considerate. 😄

Starting today, we are moving forward under a new name and vision:
RC Drift International / RCDrift.io
Why the change? The name RC Drift UK has always described a community rather than an organisation, and we feel that identity belongs to the UK community as a whole.
At the same time, the systems and technology we’ve built over the past three years have gained recognition worldwide. With such strong international feedback, we feel it’s time our work operated on a global scale.
What this means
We’re excited to take this next step—and can’t wait for the 2025 Main Event this November!

The community spoke, and we listened.
Today we’re rolling out a major update to driver ratings:
🕒 Inactivity Penalties
From now on, if a driver hasn’t competed in a while, their rating will gradually decrease over time:
“Making changes mid season??” Hell yeah we are - but this one’s a no-brainer. It has zero impact on the 2025 standings, since every driver in the season has competed within the last year anyway. So no one’s being penalised retroactively.
No surprises. No unfair hits. Just a cleaner, fairer system from here on out. ✌️

How do I get a drivers rating in order to post?

Josh Parrett
Darryl Johnson II you’ll need to compete in a ranked tournament.
Any tournament can be ranked, the organisers just need to reach out to RCDrift.uk

Great job ... one thing.. a direct home button or back to home page button or tap the logo to go back to home page. As the back arrow button top left if your 200 clicks in you never get back to home page unless you close the app and go back. Also a tournament that is in the process of being created doesnt delete. Like I started giving it a name but not yet started, I couldn't delete. At the time

Thank you for making this app, it looks like a really great start to something that will push the hobby / sport further. I had a few ideas for driver profiles / information tracking, maybe a pm or email maybe be better?
Also, how do I become verified to post on the main feed if my home track isn’t planning on having any comps in the near future? -Josh

Josh Parrett
Hey Josh Reading , thank you for the kind words 🙏 Feel free to drop RCDrift.uk a message on Instagram/Facebook and I’ll get back to you there!
We’re exploring the option of having manual verification for drivers in a similar situation to yourself - in the meantime you could speak with your local track about becoming an admin (assuming they’re listed on here), or push them to run a comp or two 😉
But like I say, we are looking at manual verification so I’ll keep you posted if that lands in the coming weeks!
