The RCDrift.io V0

Simple. On purpose.

V0 is a 1/10 RWD drift chassis built from as few parts as possible. Laser-cut 3mm ABS, MJF 3D printed parts and readily available spares keep it simple to build and cheap to run.

Parts and materials

All printed parts are MJF.

Design

Every part,in plain sight.

Six ways to tune it. None of them fiddly.

Front caster, camber, toe and Ackermann, plus wheelbase length and battery position. Enough adjustment to dial it in, without the complexity.

Adjustability

The tilt of the steering axis, seen from the side.

Diagrams are illustrative and exaggerated for clarity. They show what each adjustment changes, not its direction or how far it goes.

Flex, built in. Less to set up, less to go wrong.

There's no traditional suspension and no shock absorbers. The V0 is a rigid design with flex built into the chassis.

  1. 3mm ABS chassis plates. Laser-cut. The main parts are cut from 3mm ABS plastic.
  2. M3 Nylon standoffs. Simple arm mounts. M3-threaded nylon standoffs mount the arms to the chassis.
  3. MJF 3D printed parts. Printed where it counts. The steering knuckles and the three-part spool are MJF 3D printed.
  4. Zero Shock absorbers. Flex does the work. No traditional suspension. The flex is built into the chassis instead.

Direct drive.Nothing in between.

The motor drives straight into a three-part, MJF 3D printed spool.

  • No belts
  • No centre shaft
  • No gearbox to rebuild
  1. Motor. Drives straight into the spool.
  2. Three-part spool. All three parts are MJF 3D printed.
  3. Parts you can actually find. The V0 is built around readily available parts, like TT02-style CVD driveshafts, so spares are easy to get and cheap to replace.
  4. Rear-wheel drive. Power goes to the rear wheels only.

Make it yours. Deck skins, designed with the community.

We worked with designers from the community on deck skins that apply to the bottom of the deck. Choose a design and make your V0 look like nobody else's.
